Chief Lynn Malerba will become the first Native American to serve as Treasurer of the United States
On Tuesday, June 21, ahead of Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen’s visit to the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, President Joe Biden announced the appointment of Lynn Malerba, Lifetime Chief of the Mohegan Tribe, to serve as Treasurer of the United States.

Cherokee women seeking name change for Clingman’s Dome
