WCU to require negative COVID-19 results for on-campus residents prior to spring semester
Western Carolina University students living in residence halls will be asked to submit documentation of a negative COVID-19 test result taken three to five days before they leave their permanent residence and prior to their return to campus for the start of the 2021 spring semester.

It was a good night for Cherokee basketball as both varsity teams defeated visiting Highlands at home on Friday, Jan. 31. The Lady Braves (17-2), currently ranked #6 in the state Maxpreps.com poll, beat the Lady Highlanders 76-31, and the Braves (10-9) pulled above .500 on the year with a 71-50 victory.
