New COVID cases reported by CIHA, tribal health officials encourage asymptomatic testing
Five people have tested positive in the past two days for COVID-19 at Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority (CIHA) facilities operated by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI).

The Jackson County Department of Public Health (JCDPH) received notice on Monday, April 13 that two full-time Jackson County residents have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Three to compete for Miss Cherokee crown
Three young ladies will vie for the Miss Cherokee crown during the annual pageant scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4 at 6pm at the Chief Joyce Dugan Cultural Arts Center.
