Exclusion powers of Tribe discussed in work session
The ability of leaders of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) to exclude people from its territory was discussed during a work session of Tribal Council on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

A federal grand jury sitting in Charlotte returned a criminal bill of indictment on Thursday, Feb. 20, charging Shannon White, 42, of Cherokee, with distributing fentanyl that resulted in an overdose death
