Mixing theory or belief in a factual article is confusing to the reader and will erode the credibility of the writer, and the publisher. There is a place marked for opinions in our paper.

Since time immemorial, Cherokee people have harvested traditional plants, such as sochan and ramps, from the beautiful mountains in western North Carolina.  Over time, laws have prevented tribal members from harvesting these healthy plants. 

Our law is frequently adjusted. Every two years a new set of government representatives adds, deletes, and amends our laws. That is their job, their responsibility.
