Tribe signs MOU with South College Asheville
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) and South College Asheville (SCA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 4 that tribal officials hope will encourage more tribal members to enter the health care field.

Pesticide Disposal event to be held in Cherokee
The EBCI Cooperative Extension Office is collaborating with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service to host a Pesticide Disposal Assistance Program event at the Acquoni Expo Center on Tuesday, March 21 from 10am – 2pm.

Tye Mintz, filling in at quarterback for an injured Brandon Buchanan, netted a total of 167 yards on Friday, Nov. 7 as the Braves (3-8) traveled to Robbinsville to take on the undefeated Robbinsville Black Knights (11-0).
FOOTBALL: Pee Wee Braves runner-up in Cracker Bowl
What a difference a week makes! The 2014 Cracker Bowl, postponed from last weekend due to snow and ice, was played on a beautiful, sunny day at Ray Kinsland Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8.
GOLF: Two Lady Braves compete at State
