Beloved Women Committee debated by Tribal Council
A large portion of the Tribal Council session that was held on Thursday, March 2 was spent discussing a resolution put forward by the Cherokee Beloved Women Committee.
Blankenship to join Dogwood Health Trust
Cory Blankenship, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and current Secretary of the Treasury, will exit his appointed position to join Dogwood Health Trust as the Community Investment Officer in April 2023.

Kobe Gavin Toineeta, 25, of the Birdtown Community, entered his eternal home on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. Kobe was a 2015 graduate of Swain County High School and will forever be remembered as an old soul who never met a stranger.
