Qualla Boundary Public Library and Snowbird Community Library launches Hinigoliya
Qualla Boundary Public Library and Snowbird Community Library launched a new reading program, Hinigoliya (you and I read), on Tuesday, March 5. Hinigoliya is a reading initiative to promote early literacy for children in kindergarten to third grade within the five-county service area (Graham, Cherokee, Swain, Jackson, Haywood).
Speakers’ Consortium holds quarterly meeting in Cherokee

Members of the Cherokee High School and Middle School cross country teams traveled to Murphy High School for the Bulldog XC Meet on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 25.
JV FOOTBALL: Braves double offensive yards in 48-6 defeat of Andrews
The Cherokee JV Braves gained a total of 321 yards of offense while holding the Andrews JV Wildcats to only 161 during a game at Ray Kinsland Stadium on the beautiful fall evening of Thursday, Sept. 23.
VOLLEYBALL: Lady Braves seeing success through positive attitudes
For the first time in many years, the Cherokee Lady Braves varsity volleyball team is having a winning season, and players and coaches are attributing much of that success to positive attitudes and a can-do work environment.
