CIPD Arrest Report for Sept. 16-23, 2019

The following people were arrested by the Cherokee Indian Police Department and booked into the Anthony Edward Lossiah Justice Center. It should be noted that the following defendants have only been charged with the crimes listed and should be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Addresses and those files with no charge data have been redacted.

New Kituwah students learn about money, banking

For the past four months, students at New Kituwah Academy have been bringing money to school to deposit into their savings accounts, but they recently got a behind the scenes tour of where that money is kept. The tour is a part of the Kituwah Savings Program, a project developed by the Sequoyah Fund to start kids thinking about money and saving at an early age.
