North Carolina schools, Cherokee Central Schools to close for two weeks due to coronavirus
Following nationwide closings and cancellations of events due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper issued an executive order this afternoon, Saturday, March 14, that all North Carolina public schools will close to students on Monday, March 16 for a period of at least two weeks.

If you drive up to the Cherokee Indian Hospital and see tents outside of the entrances, don’t be alarmed.
N.C. Courts move court cases due to Coronavirus
Late Friday morning, Friday, March 13, North Carolina Chief Justice Cheri Beasley ordered that most district and superior court cases be continued for at least 30 days starting on Monday, March 16.
