Three Native American women elected to Congress 

For the first time, the U.S. House of Representatives will have three Native American women.  Congresswomen Sharice Davids (D-Kan.) and Deb Haaland (D-N.M.) were both re-elected, and they will be joined by Yvette Herrell, a Republican who won in New Mexico’s Second Congressional District.

Myrna D. Climbingbear, 56, of the Big Cove Community, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 16, 2018.  A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of Myrtle Driver of Cherokee.  She was a member of the Cherokee Pentecostal Holiness Church.
