Harrah’s Cherokee donates $30,000 to MANNA FoodBank
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort donated $30,000 to MANNA FoodBank for the organization’s 2015 fundraising efforts recently. This is the 17th year Harrah’s Cherokee has supported MANNA’s mission to end hunger.

Cherokee Runners to stage 3rd Annual Sunset 5K
Cherokee Runners Couch to 5K is in its seventh week and will culminate in the group’s 3rd annual Sunset 5K Run/Walk that will be held on Thursday, July 4. The event will include a 1-mile fun run that begins at 7:15pm and the 5K will begin at 7:45pm. The registration fee for the 5K is $15 while the fun run is $10.

Jillian Monike Swimmer, 31, of Cherokee, went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 25, 2018. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of Melvena Swimmer of Cherokee.

Henry Queen, 83, of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence after a long illness.
