COVID-19 cluster identified at local Cherokee church
On Monday, Dec. 14, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) and Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority identified a COVID-19 cluster at the Old Antioch Missionary Baptist Church located at 2868 Wrights Creek Road in Cherokee.

Park to celebrate National Junior Ranger Day on April 23

SOCCER: Swain edges Cherokee 2-1
Crystal clear blue skies and crisp temperatures marked the first day of spring as the Cherokee varsity girls soccer team traveled to Swain County on Thursday, March 20. A young Lady Braves squad played nice defense throughout most of the game, but came up a little short in the end 2-1.
GOLF: Crowe wins first home match
The Cherokee Braves golf team hosted the Highlands Highlanders and the Hayesville Yellow Jackets in their first home match of the season on Tuesday, March 18.
BASEBALL: Wildcats edge Braves 5-4
The Cherokee Braves baseball team lost a home conference game against the Andrews Wildcats on Friday, March 14 by a score of 5-4.
