Sometimes, when standing on the sidelines taking photographs at Cherokee football games, I laugh to myself when I see a big hit because it’s all a part of the game.

Jason McMillan, Braves senior wide receiver, simply did what he’s probably done hundreds of other times in life – he ran a short crossing route over the middle and caught a pass. But, this time it was different.
JV FOOTBALL: Swain tops Braves 16-0
The JV Braves (0-3) had a tough homecoming game against the visiting Swain JV Maroon Devils on Thursday, Sept. 17. Several turnovers hurt Cherokee as Swain took a 16-0 win.
FOOTBALL: Mintz leads Braves in big win
Tye Mintz, Braves sophomore quarterback, accounted for six touchdowns and 300 total offensive yards as he led Cherokee to a big win over the visiting Cosby (Tenn.) Eagles at home on Friday, Sept. 11.
