BASKETBALL: Braves win thriller over Rosman
The Braves (18-3, 10-1) didn’t lead in Friday’s home game against Rosman (14-7, 8-3) until the last 1:46 of the contest. Cherokee, who trailed by as much as 20 points in the game, hit some key free throws late to win a thriller over the Tigers 84-83.
BASKETBALL: Lady Braves win SMC regular season title
The Lady Braves (17-4, 11-0) set a goal at the beginning of the season, and they met that goal on Friday night with a big 73-52 home win over Rosman (12-9, 4-7). With that win, Cherokee won the Smoky Mountain Conference regular season title.
FOOTBALL: Teesateskie signs with Carson-Newman
Logan Teesateskie, Braves senior linebacker, signed a letter of intent on Thursday, Feb. 4 to play football at Carson-Newman University this fall. He will join the Eagles who went 9-3 in the 2015 season.

BASKETBALL: Braves top 100 for sixth time
A total of 10 Cherokee (17-3, 9-1) players scored as the Braves topped 100 points for the sixth time this season in a big 102-62 win at home against Robbinsville (6-8, 2-6) on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
