Isaac Teasdale, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians from the Snowbird Community, will be racing motocross for the Phoenix Honda Racing Team. 

Six members of the Cherokee Braves varsity football team will join top prep players from four states in this year’s Food City Border Bowl.

These are the brackets for the various divisions of the NASA Basketball Tournament, hosted by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, on Jan. 10-12.  

Two members of the Cherokee Braves varsity wrestling team placed in the annual Chief Osley B. Saunooke Memorial Tournament held at the Charles George Memorial Arena on Saturday, Jan. 5. 

Updated CHS basketball schedule

Five Cherokee Braves were named to the All-Smoky Mountain Conference football team and another four received Honorable Mentions as post-season honors are handed out. 

The Cherokee Lady Braves (3-0) led the entire game as they remained unbeaten with a big 79-51 win at Swain County on Friday, Dec. 14. 

Following several postponements due to weather and other factors, the Cherokee Braves (1-1) and Lady Braves (2-0) finally got to play their home opener.  The teams swept Hayesville at the Charles George Memorial Arena on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 12.  The Lady Braves won 74-59 and the Braves won an overtime thriller 52-49.
