BASEBALL: Tigers top Braves 19-2

ROSMAN – The Cherokee Braves (0-1) lost their season opener 19-2 at Rosman on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 12.  The Tigers led 3-2 after the first inning and then poured in 16 runs in the second.  The game was called in the bottom of the fourth due to the NCHSAA mercy run rule.

Each team fielded four different pitchers with Rosman’s Luke Stewart getting the win.  Rosman batted .353 for the game with 16 RBIs off of 6 total hits.  Cherokee’s batting stats were not available.
