The Cherokee High School (CHS) track and field team traveled to Robbinsville High School on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 23 to participate in a four-school meet along with Swain Co. and Hayesville.  Following are results, per nc.milesplit, of all of CHS’s participants:

The Cherokee Middle School track and field team participated in a meet, hosted by Swain Co. Middle School, at the Cherokee High School track on the afternoon of Monday, March 21. 

The Cherokee Middle School (CMS) track and field team hosted a meet on Monday, March 14 with six other schools participating

Aria Foerst, a senior at Cherokee High School, will continue her volleyball career next year at Ferrum College.  She signed a letter of intent during an event at the Charles George Memorial Arena on the morning of Monday, March 14. 

This journey takes its next step in Cherokee with the YONA Youth Wrestling Championship. This wrestling event is planned for March 5 and 6 and will be the first of its kind held at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Convention Center.

Following are the results, per trackwrestling.com, for the NCHSAA 1A West Regional meet held at Alleghany High School in Sparta on Saturday, Feb. 12: 

Don Bradley, senior quarterback for the Cherokee Braves, signed a letter of intent on Wednesday, Feb. 2 – National Signing Day – to play football this fall at Carson-Newman University.
