The Lady Braves (8-0) played stifling defense in their eighth win of the season.

The Cherokee High School wrestling team participated in the War Eagles Dual Tournament held at East Henderson on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The Braves (4-0) finished a busy week of basketball undefeated and in style with a big 78-49 win over the Highlands Highlanders at home on Friday, Dec. 12.

The Cherokee Lady Braves traveled to Asheville on Thursday, Dec. 11 for a non-conference showdown against the 3-A AC Reynolds Lady Rockets.

Cherokee handled their first major test of the season with relative ease on Thursday, Dec. 11 when the Dustin Johnson-led Braves grounded the AC Reynolds Rockets 78-56 at an away game in Asheville.

The Lady Braves (4-0) remained unbeaten as they took it to the Highlands Lady Highlanders at home on Friday, Dec. 12.

Cherokee (2-0) came close to doubling the scoring output of their opponent during their first home game of the season on Tuesday, Dec. 9.

The Cherokee varsity wrestling team participated in the King of the Mountain Tournament in Georgia on Dec. 5-6.
