COVID-19 timeline of events relating to EBCI
Following are important dates and events relating to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ (EBCI) response to the coronavirus (COVID-19):
Cherokee cases increase as “community spread” confirmed
Cherokee has seen nine (9) new positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last two days (four reported on Sunday, May 31 and five on Monday, June 1) as reported by the EBCI Joint Information Center.
Motorcycle fatality near Park Headquarters
Great Smoky Mountains National Park Rangers responded to a report of a motorcycle collision along Newfound Gap Road near Park Headquarters at approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.
