Former NPS director passes away
Former National Park Service Director Gary Everhardt passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020 following a battle with COVID-19 and just days after his beloved wife, Nancy died on Dec. 23. He was 86 years old.

The Cherokee varsity track team hosted a five-school meet on Wednesday, March 19 with Andrews, Hayesville, Rosman, and Hiwassee Dam. Andrews won the boys and the girls meets with scores of 123 and 148 respectively.
