The Cherokee Nation on Tuesday, Sept. 28 enrolled its 400,000th tribal citizen and continues to process a historic record number of citizenship applications.
Tribal partners to hold “Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well” event in Cherokee

SOFTBALL: Lady Braves fall to Swain in first round of playoffs
The Lady Braves fell to the Maroon Devils 5-0 on Tuesday, May 13 at the Swain County High School softball field during the first round of the 1A state playoffs.
SOCCER: Lady Braves lack offense in first round of playoffs
The Lady Braves just couldn’t get much offense going as they hosted East Wilkes in the first round of the 1A state playoffs on Wednesday, May 14. East Wilkes’ Melia Higgins put two in the back of the net as they defeated Cherokee 2-0.
