Tribe receives grant for Little Free Libraries

Cherokee Central Schools committed to remaining open

JV FOOTBALL: BRAVES BEAT SWAIN
The JV Braves (3-0) have a flair for the dramatic. For the second week in a row, they sealed the game with less than two minutes left.
FOOTBALL: Buchanan amasses over 300 yards in Braves loss
Brandon Buchanan, Braves quarterback, amassed a total of 338 yards of total offense during a rainy Thursday night game against Rabun Gap (Ga.) at Ray Kinsland Stadium on Sept. 10. Overall, the Braves had 360 yards of total offense, but it was not quite enough as they fell to the Eagles 41-26.
JV FOOTBALL: Braves edge Robbinsville in final minute
There were two lead changes, two touchdowns, an interception and a fumble all in the final two minutes of the game as the Cherokee JV Braves (2-0) hosted Robbinsville at Ray Kinsland Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 10. Isaiah Evans, JV Braves running back, caught a Tye Mintz pass and took it 39 yards to the house for the game-winning score with 36 seconds left in the game to give the Braves a 32-28 win.
