Native America Calling, a program of the Alaska-based Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, is a recipient of the National Humanities Medal from The National Endowment for the Humanities. Destiny Siweumptewa was crowned the 2018-19 Junior Miss Cherokee during last year’s Cherokee Indian Fair.
