Police Commission pledges support to transitional program
New EMS Family Playground officially opens
Kylex Pheasant, a youth member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, cut the ribbon as the brand-new EMS Family Playground opened officially in the Yellowhill Community on the afternoon of Thursday, May 11. The facility, which will be under the management of the Cherokee Recreation program, is located adjacent to the EMS Building off of Acquoni Road.

Tye Mintz, Braves senior quarterback, accounted for 433 total yards and seven touchdowns as Cherokee (12-1) bested Thomas Jefferson (11-2) by a score of 47-20 in a regional semi-final game at Ray Kinsland Stadium on the chilly evening of Friday, Nov. 24.
