The Comedy Zone coming to Harrah’s Cherokee
Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, will welcome The Comedy Zone to its roster of highly acclaimed entertainment venues. Slated to open this summer, The Comedy Zone will host top-notch comedians and some of the hottest stand-up performers on the stage.

Completing the Circle of Fire: Tri-Council meets in Cherokee
Sovereignty, identity, and culture were just a few of the issues the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes came together to discuss in the annual Tri-Council meeting. Under the theme, “Completing the Circle of Fire”, the Councils of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Cherokee Nation, and the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians met at the Harrah’s Cherokee Convention Center on the morning of Friday, June 16.

It is easy to forget when you look at all the beauty in nature that there are some pretty nasty environmental issues in the wild. I am not talking about the manmade messes we bring in and leave. BASKETBALL: Braves, Lady Braves top Swain in road games
For the second time in the regular season, Cherokee swept Swain County. In a road game on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Lady Braves (11-5) beat the Lady Maroon Devils by 30-points (75-45), and the Braves (12-3) followed suit with a 98-75 win.
