Emily Walkingstick West, 81, of Cherokee, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021. Emily was the daughter of the late Johnny and Emma Walkingstick.

Robert Lee Washington Sr., 46, of Sylva, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021.

Joseph Edward (Eddie) Almond Jr., 65, of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, May 27.  He was born Aug. 4, 1955 in Bryson City to parents Ruth Jean Cole Almond and Joseph Edward Almond, Sr. He had one sister, Ann Almond Howell (Bill) of Bryson City.

Carol Ann Finckbone, 67, of Cherokee, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home.

Laura Beth Shuttle unexpectedly died Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, at the age of 63. Preceeded by her mother, Mary Lambert, and her brother, Wesley Lambert.
