Four EBCI elders honored on Ned Long Day
Started in 1999 to honor the late esteemed leader from the Snowbird Community, the 18th Annual Ned Long Day celebration was held at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
Cherokee Chamber Singers are Carnegie Hall-bound
Since 1891, thousands of the world’s best singers and musicians have performed at famed Carnegie Hall in New York City. Next spring, 26 members of the Cherokee (Central Schools) Chamber Singers will join those ranks.

WCU dedicates Judaculla Hall
Western Carolina University commemorated its long-lasting relationship with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians by affixing a name from Cherokee legend onto a campus housing facility in a ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 10, rededicating the building as Judaculla Hall.
