SENIOR GAMES: Cherokee seniors rack up medals at State Games
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians was well represented at the N.C. Senior State Games this year. Medals were won in many various sports including track and field, basketball, shuffleboard, bocci ball, bowling, golf, and more.
CROSS COUNTRY: Lambert finishes 15th at state meet
Darius Lambert, a junior member of the Cherokee High School cross country team, finished 15th in the boys 1A state cross country championship at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 4.
ON THE SIDELINES: The CHS Arena does not exist
There is no place known as the CHS Arena. It doesn’t exist. It is the Charles George Memorial Arena. It is not the CHS Arena or the high school arena or simply the arena.
FOOTBALL: Bulldogs top Braves, Cherokee still gets top seed
