The Cherokee High School (CHS) and Middle School (CMS) cross country teams participated in the Hiwassee Dam Cross Country Meet, held at the Murphy XC Course in Murphy, on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept. 18.

Before the gates open for Western Carolina University’s popular Mountain Heritage Day festival on Saturday, Sept. 28, an equally-popular 5K race will take place on campus.

Cherokee got off to a quick start and never looked back in its 42-0 win over the Gladiator Sports Academy at Ray Kinsland Stadium on the evening of Friday, Sept. 13.

Cherokee High School hosted the Cherokee Invitational cross country meet for high school and middle school teams on Saturday, Feb. 14.

Hundreds of runners filled the streets of Cherokee for the Cherokee Harvest Half Marathon & 5K which was held on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 14.

Cherokee held strong early in the game, but a second quarter burst by Smoky Mountain buried the hosts.
