CCS School Board holds their first meeting of 2024
The School Board of Cherokee Central Schools met on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in the Central Office Board Room. The meeting was called to order at 4:45 pm by Chairperson Jennifer Thompson.
Kituwah Services, LLC receives $6.8 million contract with U.S. Navy
Kituwah Services, LLC and their subcontractor C.A. Murren have been awarded a $6.8 million dollar contract with the U.S. Navy for the installation of domestic and fire supply water piping to Townsend Bombing Range: Townsend, Ga.
EBCI officials: SI layoffs will not harm investment in Sports Illustrated Resorts
The Arena Group, operator and publisher of Sports Illustrated magazine, announced layoffs of over 100 employees on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. Officials of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) assure that this news will not negatively affect the Tribe as Kituwah, LLC, a tribal entity, is a lead investor in the Sports Illustrated Resorts.
