New grant aims to preserve Cherokee ecological knowledge
A nearly $500,000 grant from the National Science Foundation aims to preserve the Cherokee culture through the establishment of a mentor program for young Cherokee Nation citizens.
Park announces Paving Project between Townsend and Cades Cove
Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials have announced that a paving project will begin the week of March 12 on Laurel Creek Road, Townsend Entrance Road, and Tremont Road.
