On Thursday October 29, 2009 the Cherokee Youth Center held their annual members only Halloween Party. This year was awesome with all types of ghosts and goblins roaming thru the building, we had numerous games for the children to play and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We also held a costume contest for numerous ages; the first was for 0 to 3 years of age with the 1st place winner being Kenyon Swimmer. The second age category was for 4 years to years of age with the 1st place winner being Iain Brokenshire. The third age group was for 9 years to 12 years of age, the 1st place winner, Mack Lakey. The last age group was for 13 years to 18 years with the 1st place winner being Ashley Crowe. This year we also decided to hold a costume contest for all Parent/Volunteers’ who were dressed for the Party and the 1st place winner was Lee Johnson. CYC club members got to control the voting for all staff and Cody Gloyne was the kid’s favorite taking home 1st place as a beautiful blonde. The staff of Cherokee Youth Center would like to take this time to say “Thank You” to the numerous volunteers who came out to assist with the party and for anyone who donated to make the party a complete success. Thank You to all who came out and had a blast with our 2009 Halloween Party!
