Jordyn Thompson started playing basketball in Kindergarten, and now she’ll continue her career in college. The Cherokee High School senior signed a letter of intent on Thursday, May 23 to play this fall at Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn.
BASKETBALL: Lady Royals win Championship
Basketball players from Erwin; Yancey County; Cherokee, Swain, and Reynolds school districts represented the WNC Lady Royals 7th grade basketball team and won the American Youth Basketball Association State Championship held recently in Concord.
