Stamper completes TERO Job and Career Prep classes
TERO job bank participants attended the first session of Job and Career Preparation and Michael Stamper, an EBCI tribal member, successfully completed the full course which consisted of four classes with the last one being held on Thursday, April 14.
Cherokee students win at Heard Art Show
The artwork, in various mediums, of several Cherokee High School students won awards and was sold at the recent Heard Museum Guild American Indian Student Art Show.
Park to celebrate National Junior Ranger Day on April 23
Great Smoky Mountains National Park will celebrate Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 23 from 10am – 2pm with special activities at Sugarlands Visitor Center, Cades Cove Visitor Center and Oconaluftee Visitor Center.

GOLF: Aerification at Sequoyah National
If you have never been on a golf course before, you have probably never seen the small holes left in the course after the aerification process. Golfers mistakenly think aerification throws off their game but some of the best golf games ever played were played after aerating the course. What is aerification?
BASKETBALL: Carolina Blue Devils take 2nd in Georgia
The Carolina Blue Devils traveling basketball team, comprised of area players including several EBCI tribal members, took second place in the March Madness 6th grade tournament in Gainesville, Ga. the weekend of March 21-23.
TRACK & FIELD: Cherokee hosts meet
The Cherokee varsity track team hosted a five-school meet on Wednesday, March 19 with Andrews, Hayesville, Rosman, and Hiwassee Dam. Andrews won the boys and the girls meets with scores of 123 and 148 respectively.
