Mary Owl Melquist, an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, was born on March 17, 1936 and died in Bellingham, Wash. on Oct. 31, 2016.

Nancy Jane (Blackfox) Bigmeat, 70, of the Wolftown Community in Cherokee, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at the Cherokee Indian Hospital.

John Daniel Larch, 64, of the Wolfetown community, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at his residence.
