Cherokee woman struck by vehicle, dies of injuries
Cherokee Indian Police Department (CIPD) Officers responded to a report of a female subject that had been struck by a vehicle on Casino Trail in the area of the Cherokee Pharmacy and Food Lion on Monday, Aug. 8 at approximately 9:28pm.

Council approves TERO as independent entity
The TERO (Tribal Employment Rights Office) of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is now an independent entity and no longer a program of the tribal government.
Council approves bi-annual town hall meetings
