Great Smoky Mountains National Park officials announced that work is underway in the Elkmont Historic District to preserve four structures and to remove 29 others

The Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police (NCACP) unanimously voted last month to award Principal Chief Patrick Lambert an honorary membership in the association.
