The Eastern Band of Cherokees is a Tribe whose members have a strong sense of fighting for freedom.  We are lucky to have so many veterans!

Devalyn Crowe, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and a Yakama Nation descendant, is seeking the Miss Rodeo Washington 2020 title at the pageant scheduled for Oct. 10-12.

Western Carolina University (WCU) and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday, July 8.  It “guarantees admission to WCU for all A-B Tech graduates who satisfy specific requirements spelled out in the document.”

James “Bopper” Johnson, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, participated in the 8th Annual 24 Indianapolis on June 28-29. 

Fifteen high school students from across the region who are members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians had an opportunity to experience college life first-hand as the second annual Judaculla Camp was held June 17-21 at Western Carolina University (WCU).

Chiropractic care is something that is more than commonplace in most towns and cities. Zoom in on Cherokee, and there’s not a single private chiropractor. This is something Dr. Eric Shapiro and his wife, Beth Lingerfelt, slowly started to realize.
