2012 FRELL OWL AWARD NOMINATIONS BEING ACCEPTED

Nominations for the 2012 Frell Owl Award are being accepted at this time.  To obtain more information and/or a nomination form, see Deanne Smith at the Club’s Information Desk.  The deadline for submitting a nomination is Friday, Nov. 9 at 12p.m.

 

FAREWELL TO JACOB CHASTAIN IN THE C&F DEPARTMENT

Jacob Chastain is leaving the Club to take a job closer to home.  He has worked in the Club’s C&F Department for over seven years.  He will be working with the Cherokee County School system in Murphy.  Jacob and his wife Ashley live in the Murphy area with their new son Amos.  We send our best wishes with Jacob and his family.

 

CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to Misty Littlejohn and Elrod Toineeta on the birth of their son Hunter Joseph Littlejohn who was born on Monday, Oct. 22.  Baby Hunter was 8 lbs. 13 oz. and 20 ½ inches long at birth.  Misty works in the Club’s Children’s Home department.

 

2013 TRIBAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OPEN ENROLLMENT

 

The Open Enrollment period for 2013 Tribal Employee Benefits will be Wednesday, Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 9.  Employees will have until Friday, Dec. 7 to change their benefits for an effective date of January 31, 2013.  If an employee fails to make changes to their coverage during Open Enrollment, they will retain their current coverage.  All employees are encouraged to attend the Open Enrollment to review their current coverage and to make necessary changes.  Listed below are the dates and locations of the Open Enrollment Events:

 

Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 9a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Fair Grounds Exhibit Hall; Thursday, Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4p.m. – Cherokee Elementary School – Cultural Arts Center – Green Room; and Friday, Nov. 9 from 10a.m. to 2p.m. – Snowbird Library (for Snowbird Child Development Center staff)

 

TransAmerica will be hosting two diversification seminars for the 401(k) participants at the Wednesday Open Enrollment Session only.  Session 1: 10 – 11:30 a.m.  Session 2: 1 – 2:30 p.m.

 

Employees that will be making changes need to bring the Social Security numbers and date of birth information for the dependents that that they will be adding to their benefits.

 

ROOF REPAIR ON BOYS CLUB’S ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

Please use extra caution when entering or leaving the Administration Building at the Club.  The C&F Department is reroofing the building as well as making minor repairs and improvements.  A covered entryway is also being constructed at the main entrance.  Work on these projects is expected to be completed soon.

 

OFFICE BUILDING AVAILABLE

The building formerly occupied by the Juvenile Services program on the Boys Club’s campus is vacant and available for rent.  If you or your program is interested in leasing this building, please call Tommy Lambert, General Manager, at 497-9101.
