The Lady Braves ended their season with a 3-0 loss to Allegheny in the first round of the state 1A volleyball playoffs on Saturday, Oct. 20.

“We were excited to make post-season play,” said coach Kim Arkansas.  “However, this match was plagued with hitting, serving and setting errors – the types of errors you would not expect from a team at the end of their season in the playoffs.”

“Senior Deija Burgess and junior Avery Mintz played well overall.  Senior Ashley Bottchenbaugh had some nice digs filling in at the Libero position.”

Arkansas is optimistic about next year’s campaign.  “The Lady Braves lose only two seniors from the starting line-up and look to be a force in the Smoky Mountain Conference next year.”
