The Cherokee Lady Braves (0-1) lost their season opener, in a home game, against the Swain Co. Lady Maroon Devils by a score of 15-1 on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 13. 

The Cherokee Braves (0-1) lost their season opener 19-2 at Rosman on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 12. 

Cherokee High School seniors Josiah Lossiah and Tori Teesateskie have been selected to play in the Blue-White Games at the Charles George Memorial Arena on Saturday, March 23. 

Cherokee High School (CHS) hosted the WNC Kickoff Invitational on Thursday, March 7.  Following are the CHS results, per nc.milesplit.com:

Four Cherokee varsity basketball seniors, two Lady Braves and two Braves, have been named to play in the upcoming West vs Midwest 1A All-Star games. 

The Cherokee Lady Braves (23-6) finished their 2018-19 season with a barn burner in the third round of the 1A state playoffs against the top-seeded East Surry Lady Cardinals.
