Kent Briggs, Braves head football coach, is stepping down and retiring from the sport he loves. His class and dedication to the student-athletes will be missed, but his legacy will be felt for a long time to come.

BASKETBALL: Cherokee players named to All-Conference teams
The Big Smoky Mountain All-Conference teams have been released, and the Cherokee Braves and Lady Braves are represented on both.
SOFTBALL: Maroon Devils defeat Cherokee 15-1
The Cherokee Lady Braves (0-1) lost their season opener, in a home game, against the Swain Co. Lady Maroon Devils by a score of 15-1 on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 13.
