Cherokee JROTC Obstacle Course dedicated in honor of Cherokee hero
JROTC students at Cherokee High School (CHS) for years to come will go on an obstacle course, dubbed “Reuben’s Run”, that has been dedicated to a hero of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

COMMENTARY: Longer terms are not enough
Four-year terms for our elected officials are the best solutions for the long-term health of our Tribe (please see last week’s commentary), but it should be done in conjunction with two other missing tenants in our law.
SPEAKING OF FAITH: Be healed and made whole…
We should not be afraid of any virus when Jesus resides within our hearts. God is still God. He is to be everything to us. He knows every language. God is a “whole” God, and He is our Creator. He already knows each of us inside and out and nothing can be hidden from Him.
COMMENTARY: Longer terms would mean better governance.
I know. I get the immediate negative response when I bring up making Tribal Council seats four years instead of two.

TRACK & FIELD: Cherokee growing indoor track team for the future
Records were set and a new paradigm for track and field was established this year at Cherokee High School. For the first time, the school fielded an indoor track team.
