Rebecca “Becky” Bigwitch, 66, of Cherokee, passed away following an extended illness on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 in her home in the Wolftown Community of Cherokee. Becky was loved and was preceded by her late father, Leroy Reed, and late mother, Winona (Watty) Reed.

Rena “Iggie” Janet Wachacha, 66, of Cherokee, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022 following a short illness while at the Med-West Harris Hospital in Sylva.

Bee Jay Bigmeat, 48, of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 06, 2022 while residing at the Maggie Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Maggie Valley.

Tina “Teeter” Walkingstick Frizsell, age 42, of Mountain City, Ga., and formerly of Cherokee, was senselessly taken from her family and friends on the morning of Monday, May 16, 2022, one day prior to her 43rd birthday.
