We wanted to let everyone know how grateful we are for the heartfelt words and kindness we were shown when Dad went home to heaven. Our family could not have gotten through one day without the Good Lord and all of your prayers. It was obvious by the remarkable doctors, nurses, flowers, singing, Long House Funeral Home, friends, last call by Cherokee Fire Department and last ride with all the motorcycles that George Sneed was loved. All of you together made it easier to accept that he had gone on to a better place and we could rest easier knowing we will hug him again one day in Gloryland.
Family is always a blessing and incredible source of strength for us. Thank you Chase Sneed and Calloway Ledford for making those important calls. That last call for 201 touched our hearts. The roar of the bikes would’ve brought a big smile to Dad’s face. It was touching and meaningful. We are thankful Leenard brought the Colorado Quartet even though they forgot their music.
Rock Springs Baptist Church is an amazing church family! The singing, sermon, and hugs made us realize why it was easy for Dad to love you all.
We are thankful to God for sharing Dad with us for 72 years. We know he is without pain in a beautiful place listening to Poncho and Lefty in a Carolina Blue Mansion walking the streets of gold. We love you all and hope that one day we can repay all the kindness we were shown.
Always Grateful,
The Family of George Vernon Sneed, Sr.
