William Howard “Bud” Arch, Sr., 79 known to family and friends as Uncle Bud, went to be with the lord on May 25, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of the Wolftown Community of Cherokee, North Carolina but served away in the Army for nineteen years.
He was the son of the late Sarah Reed Arch and Horace G. Arch. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margie Stark Arch of Germany, an infant son, Charles Arch and five brothers: Roger (infant) Arch, Fred Arch, Clayton Arch, and Treannie Arch, one sister, Catherine Larch and a great granddaughter Kylee Rose Arch all of Cherokee, NC.
He is survived by four sons: James (Weisel) Arch and wife Alice Groenwald, Fred Arch and Darlene Harris, Bugger and wife Chrissy, and Bill Arch and Julia Becenti, one daughter Christine Montano, a special daughter Tara McCoy and three sisters: Annabelle and Ben Marmon, Theresa and Walter Rattler and Vangie Laney all of Cherokee, NC. He is survived by nine grand children and seven great grand children and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that he loved dearly.
The body was brought to the Wesleyan Church at 7pm on May 26, 2011 and the body will remain at the church until the service on May 27, 2011 at 11am with the Rev. James “Bo” Parris and Mr. Ray Kinsland officiating. Pall Bearers will be among friends and family. The body will then be taken to the Arch Family Cemetery on Blue Wing Road for burial.
