EBCI Cooperative Extension is holding a landscape training geared for Cherokee’s commercial landscapers and public grounds maintenance staff. The three-hour training is offered free-of-charge, but participants will donate their time to the community through the hand’s on educational activities.
The training will be lead by Sarah McClellan-Welch, EBCI Agriculture Extension Agent.

Pruning Trees & Shrubs – Tuesday, November 16th 10am to 12pm
2 hours of hand’s-on training at Tsali Manor Walking Path – meet at the pavilion. Maintenance of trees and shrubs will be discussed. Participants will learn proper pruning techniques for landscape trees, shrubs and fruit trees.
Maintenance of Turf & Herbaceous Perennials – Tuesday, November 16th 1pm to 2pm 1 hour at Cherokee Indian Hospital grounds – meet at lower parking lot. Participants will learn basic principles of turf maintenance and how to care for annuals and perennials.
