Kallup Earl McCoy, 67, of 328 Kallup’s Cold Mtn. Rd., in Cherokee, passed away following a battle with an extended illness on Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.
Kallup was the son of the late Frank McCoy and Nellie (Lambert) McCoy and he was a home construction contractor by trade who was Baptist in faith.
He is survived by his children, sons, Steven Edward McCoy and Kallup McCoy II both of Cherokee; daughters, Kerry Lyn McCoy of Asheville, Angela Kay Duncan of San Diego, Cali. and Leighann Rose McCoy of Cherokee; one sister, Blanche McCoy Vickers of Sevierville, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Kallup was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry Carlson McCoy and Frank Joseph McCoy.
A memorial service will take place for Kallup on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at the Goose Creek Baptist Church starting at 3pm. The family will receive friends from 11am – 3pm start time at the church.
