Chester Wade – obituary

Chester Wade, 73, of Madisonville, Tenn., formerly of Cherokee, died Aug. 4, 2014, following a brief illness.

Born in Browning, Mont., he was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator and worked building roads throughout the country.  Chester was a skilled leather craftsman and also made beautiful Native American jewelry.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing and loved going fishing.

Chester is preceded in death by first wife, Mildred Wade; second wife, Wanda Weaver Wade; parents, Anderson and Ina Wade and his son, Traig Wade. He is a survived by daughter, Trina Stiles and husband Doug of Dillsboro; granddaughter, Savannah Stiles of Dillsboro; two brothers, Arthur Wade of Whittier and Luther Wade of Kings Mountain; stepdaughter, Brenda Kesterson of Madisonville, Tenn., and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
