Wednesday, Aug. 13 – Deadline for Board Resolutions – 8:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 19 – Health Screen – 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in Club Lobby

Wednesday, Aug. 20 – Club Board of Directors Meeting – 8:30 a.m.

Thursday, Aug. 21 – Safety Committee Meeting – 11:30 a.m. at School

Thursday, Aug. 28 – Election for Boys Club’s Board of Directors

NOMINATIONS FOR BOYS CLUB’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Nominations for the 2014-2016 Club Board of Directors were accepted the week of July 21-25.  The confirmed list of nominees is: Albert Arch, Cory Blankenship, Terry Bradley, Albert Crowe, Radonna Crowe, Jack Davis, Sheila Davis, Beth Bradley Grant, Kristy Maney Herron, Tammy Jackson, Debbie Lambert, Robert Lambert, Kathi S. Littlejohn, Boyd Owle, Charlene Owle, Tiffani Reed, Melissa Smith, Ernest “Cub” Sneed, Damian Solis, and Pam Straughan.

The election for the 2014-2016 Board will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28.

 

BENEFIT RAFFLE WINNER

The CBC Printing Department thanks everyone who participated in the benefit raffle for Mark Littlejohn.  Over $1,000 was raised for Mark to assist with his travel expenses for medical treatment.  The winner of the H & R Topper Model 93 Shot Gun was Jonah Taylor.

Friday, August 1 marked the end of the summer employment for the 2014 participants of the Boys Club’s OJT (On-the-Job Training) program.  Fourteen students completed the program that began on June 9.

Six of the Club’s departments hosted the students for this training program.  Four students were placed in the Child Care Department; three students were placed in the Construction and Facilities Department; three students were placed in the CBC Printing (Graphics) Department; two students were placed in the Shop; one student was placed at the Children’s Home and one student was placed in Administration.

The Boys Club thanks each and every student who participated in this program and wishes them well as they return to school.

 

CHEROKEE CENTRAL SCHOOLS BACK IN SESSION
