Mary Helen James, 41, of Cherokee, passed away on Jan. 22, 2014 at Mission Hospital. Mary is the daughter of Annie James and the late Calvin Truman James.
Mary is survived by her husband James Allen Tooni; daughter, Katherine Abra Armachain; special niece, Kailey James; brother, Clavin “Bugg” James Jr. and special cousin Joanna Parris. Mary also leaves behind several other cousins as well as step sisters.
The funeral service was held on Jan. 25 at Long House Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Soggy Hill Cemetery located in the Big Cove Community. Pall bearers included: Rich Panther, Kenny Panther, Jim Panther, John “Dick” Crowe, Bo Crowe and Bentley Tahquette. Pastor Charles Ray Ball and Brother James “Bo” Parris officiated.
