Please keep Noah Wolfe and his family in your thoughts and prayers.  Noah had an accident last Thursday and was flown to Mission Hospital for emergency surgery.  He has since been released from Mission Hospital and has returned home.

Our sincere sympathy goes to the friends and families of Mike Crowe who passed away last Thursday.  Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Congratulations to Barbara Jones on the birth of her ninth Grandchild.  Warren Ira Lee Jones was born on Wednesday, Jan. 8.  He weighed 3 lbs. and 7 oz.  Doctors say he was very healthy to be born prematurely.  Warren is the son of Clay Jones and Ricki Medford.  Please keep this little one in your prayers.

Anyone interested in taking a Boys Club bus to go to Louisville to watch the Lady Cardinals play a game?  If so, please contact Allan Oocumma or Albert Arch 497-9101.  If enough interest is generated, efforts will be made to put a trip together.  The tentative game date is Sunday, Feb. 2.  The game begins at 2p.m. against USF.  This would be an excellent opportunity to support our fellow native students (the Schimmel sisters) who play for Louisville.

Congratulations to our Lady Braves are ranked Number 6 in NCHSAA 1-A Teams.  Twenty-three teams from Western North Carolina are in the top 50 teams according to Max Preps.

Congratulations to Braves Wrestlers Levi Swearengin (126 lbs.) ranked Number 3 in the State Wrestling rankings, Jaron Bradley (145 lbs.) ranked Number 3 and Raymond Taylor (195 lbs.) ranked Number 4.

Congratulations to the Lady Braves and Braves for their wins over Murphy.  The Lady Braves won 79-46 and the Braves won their game 86-62.
